Is your child paralyzed by anxiety and fear?
Do they get overwhelmed by new situations or difficult tasks?
There is great concern within our society that children and youth are lacking tools and resilience for dealing with challenging circumstances and life events. Island Family Counselling Centre is offering groups for children and youth to help them develop tools to resist perfectionistic ideas and manage debilitating anxiety. If you would like your son or daughter to participate in one of our Anti-Anxiety Groups please contact 250-598-0544 or firstname.lastname@example.org
Michelle Koroll is a founding member of Island Family Counselling Centre and has been working with children, youth and families for over 30 years. Resilience is one of her areas of interest. She is currently an instructor for the UVIC School of Child & Youth Care and, in addition to her private practice, has taught many courses relating to children and youth.
J. Nicole (“Cole”) Little has many years experience helping children and youth to demystify anxiety and learn skills that have life long benefit. She is trained in modalities that specifically target anxiety and holds a special interest in children and youth who are anxious about environmental degradation. When not counselling, she enjoys her time teaching and supervising students at the college and university level.
